The city of Cabinda now has three public internet points

The Minister of Telecommunications and Information Technology, José Carvalho da Rocha, held this Saturday, the inauguration of three public internet points in the city of Cabinda.

The public internet points have offered some advantages, for those who use smartphone or tablet in public places knows how bad it is to rely exclusively on the 3G Internet, often unstable and slow. Using a free Wi-Fi connection is the way out of a lot of people to be able to use social networks and do other things.

Speaking to the press, Miguel Casevo, director general of the National Institute for the Development of the Information Society, said that the inauguration of these points is part of the online Angola project, which aims at the massification of Internet services within the population, of youth.

The aforementioned project is aimed primarily at covering the 18 provinces of the country so that young people adhere to their work and their research.

The minister took the occasion of World Meteorological Day, to underline that the government intends to implement, at the institute level, a high program, so that it may be able to provide better information to citizens and support the social and economic development of the country.

Regarding the implementation of the internet points, Miguel Casevo stated that he is currently working with the telephone operators in areas where there is no coverage with Angola Telecom they can make this service available to the populations, especially in the municipalities of the interior.
