How to activate the card for online purchases in Multicaixa Express

In recent times, there has been a lot of talk about integrating online payments into the well-known Multicaixa Express (MCX) service, which until then only allowed to make transfers, payments by reference, movement inquiries, typically services that can be performed in a ATM aka Multicaixa.

Now EMIS has decided to take another step by launching a new update, adding more services on the platform, and one of the most expected, is definitely the possibility for users to make purchases online, among the various cards that a user can add to their Multicaixa Express, it will have the possibility to preset only one card for this purpose.

How to preset the card for online purchases?

1. Click on the top left of the application, click on the menu (Where are the three lines);
2. Click on “Card management”

In the options menu, in the first option you can change the name of the card or remove it from the application, in the second option you can activate a card that is not yet part of the application, and in the third option you can preset a card for online purchases.

3. After selecting the third option, the user can then choose from his range of cards already active in the application, which one will be predefined exclusively for online purchases.

4. Finally, the user simply clicks on the “Online Purchases” option, and the card is then pre-defined for that purpose;

Is it already possible to shop online using MCX?

This is a question that only Interbank Services Company (EMIS) can respond, e-commerce platforms that want to allow their customers to make online purchases, must be integrated with the EMIS platform. We checked the information of the main online stores in Angola and there were no related details.

We expect that in the coming days, some companies that intend to join the platform, will start to comment on the possibility of users making online purchases using MCX Express.
