Facebook app update for iOS inspired by Facebook Home

In the path of Facebook Home released for Android, Facebook took the opportunity to upgrade its app for iOS to the 6.0 version. We personally already thought the previous app quite smooth and well designed, but in this were fil ed some edges in the design getting more "clean" and easier to read the content without losing the speed of the previous version.

There is now a bar on the Feed page that allows you to choose specifically which category of feed you want to read. It works as a filter, for example to see the feed of only the groups you follow, or just what your friends or family have done.

This new summer also brings to iOS the chat icons of Facebook Home that can be accessed directly on the screen or dragged into a corner. As you can see in the image below the icon now floats on the facebook app. If you want to close the chat, simply drag the icon to the bottom of the screen.

Already the icons, which on Android appear over any open app, do not work the same way on iOS, they will only appear in the facebook app, but appear over any facebook page that is being used. According to facebook this limitation is from Apple itself that does not allow access to your OS.

Another novelty is the sending of "stickers", which are the big emoticons much used now. The app already comes with a basic package of stickers, the Meep, which is free, but it has a shop of its own where you can buy the stickers you want.

Sure that Apple will not let facebook take over your screen just like it did for Android, but this update allowed Facebook to make your app for iOS much more beautiful and elegant.
