
Angola has taken significant steps towards the implementation of electronic governance in perfect alignment with the actions aimed at reforming its Public administration, according to the Minister of State, Chief of Staff of the President of the Republic, Adão de Almeida.
Speaking at the opening of the II Interministerial Meeting on Electronic Governance of the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (CPLP), informing that the intention of the current Executive is to make electronic governance more dynamic and capable of conveniently responding to the wishes of its users.
"We are not yet where we want to be, but we know where we want to go.”, said Adão de Almeida.

In recent times, the Angolan Government has received contributions from national civil society to find the best ways to Digital Transition of Public Administration, according to the general director of the Administrative Modernization Institute (IMA), Meick Afonso.
For the leader, who was speaking at the launch of the 2nd Edition of the Annual Conference on the Digital Transition of Public Administration “GOVERNO.AO”, to take place on June 22 and 23, 2023, this decision “is a message of humility, of not thinking alone, not finding solutions alone. In this case, the Government itself. But, through an interaction with specialists, with society, listening, understanding the needs and, above all, together identifying solutions to the different problems”, he stressed.
For the Executive, the plan involves modernizing Public Administration, by simplifying procedures and promoting its digital transformation, with a view to improving the quality of public service provision for citizens and companies.
