LernStift

The need for a mother to help her child with homework led to a pair of Germans creating a pen that vibrates when the user misses the writing.

"Lernstift”Is the name of the pen which, in addition to helping us not make spelling mistakes, still“ promises ”to help us improve handwriting.

The project of this pen is being financed by the famous website Kickstarter, which is a crowdfunding site that supports technological projects that are innovative. The funds for the development of the project, obviously, are obtained through the contribution of Kickstarter users.

Let's go the technical part.

In order to detect errors, the pen has a motion sensor which combines a gyro and an accelerometer (sensors common enough in all top smartphones), so that it can capture and monitor the user's writing, vibrating every time a wrong word appears on paper.

As for hardware, the pen has a processor, a memory chip, a module for vibration and an antenna for Wi-Fi connections. The pen also has two modes: the grammar warning and a monitor that helps to improve the handwriting.

As for the price ...

Approximately 152 USD . For now the project continues to raise funds and has already raised £ 22, the goal is to raise £ 120 by 9 August. Can they do it?

There is no doubt that it is an interesting project, see the video of the pen in action:
