Municipal administrations in Zaire recommended to invest in ICTs

The municipal administrations of zaire province were advised to invest more in information and communication technologies (ICT), according to the director of the Provincial Office of Registries and Administrative Modernization, António Félix Kialunguila.

The manager who spoke at the opening of the second phase of training on the New Modules of Citizen's Portal, aimed at municipal administrators, local government technicians and managers of various public institutions, said that a more efficient service to users involves the mastery of technological tools by public administration agents.

The director of the Cabinet also recommended that administrations use this tool effectively in order to generate more community revenue and increase the capacity to register more projects in the General State Budget (OGE) in each economic year.

Augusto Tiago, municipal administrator of Nzeto, stresses that the implementation of the Portal do Munícipe has provided more trust between citizens and public servants.

Portal do Munícipe is a municipal revenue collection platform launched in 2017 and which replaces the physical issuance of documents by municipal, communal and district administrations.

The respective technological platform also allows local administrations to collect fees from citizens resulting from the services provided by the respective territorial districts.

The Municipality Portal aims to reinforce administrative and financial deconcentration, aiming to guarantee the operationalization of services and the promotion of local development.
