South Africa announces the first TV service Streaming to Africa

A Digital Entertainment on Demand (DEOD), has officially announced South Africa the first service TV Streaming for Africa, a fully converged resource on the Internet.

The service was presented to South African viewers at an event in Johannesburg on the fourth of this month. The service is intended to reach viewers of the Zimbábue and Zambia later this year, through partnerships with local telecommunications companies.

"Streaming is the name of the transmission of audio and video over the internet, a technology that allows the transmission of audio and video without the need to download all the content to be transmitted".

According to information provided by DEOD, the service aims to have a highly competitive vision across the continent in partnership with regional telecommunications companies and other companies, including hospitality stakeholders.

The new TV Streaming service for Africa offers customers a mix of TV and movies over the Internet, at any time of the day and on various devices, in an accessible and personalized way. THE DEOD offers the latest movie movies, children's programs, music videos, live news and sports channels, documentaries, cooking shows and more.

Several companies, such as the big TV stations (Netflix, Crackle, Spotify and Tidal), now also offer this streaming TV service and it is widely used mainly for broadcasting sporting events, lectures and other content.
