Africell and Angola Cables partner to ensure high quality internet in Angola

A Africell, the fourth mobile telephony operator in Angola, signed a strategic partnership agreement with Angola Cables that aims to ensure high quality internet with solutions and connectivity in the operation, according to a statement that Menos Fios had access to.

"This strategic partnership is focused on optimizing the end customer experience so that they can enjoy a high-speed experience in accessing low latency content across Africell's network and in connections to the IXP in Angola”, the document reads.

The document informs that consumers will be able to benefit from ready-to-download content within the entire national territory, as well as access to the main points of attraction for international data in Africa, Europe and the United States, with a reduction in the time spent searching for and downloading applications.

According to the words of Angola Cables CEO, Ângelo Gama, the company is committed to creating partnerships with the aim of contributing to the development of the digital economy in Angola through the sharing of know-how consolidated in international quality projects to leverage the creation of solutions tailored to the needs of operators in the country.

"Our purpose is that the undersea cable network, global points of presence and continental internet connections in Africa, will strengthen Angola's position as a key African player at the forefront of technological development of a digital port of input and output of content to Africa"He said.

The same document also states that the competitive advantages of this long-term strategic partnership go beyond economic benefits and operational guarantees.

"They also favor the sustainable growth of Africell, within an ecosystem of hyper-connectivity in Angola with properly tuned security and scalability protocols that value the differentiated offer for the final consumer compared to its counterparts.".
