Africell and Digis Squared sign protocols to support the new national network

A Africell awarded a multi-year contract with Digis Squared, where the latter will provide end-to-end managed services to support the launch of the new network in Angola.

According to what is published by the platform LuandaPost, with this contract Africell will benefit from Digis Squared's end-to-end managed services capabilities, namely radio, core, BSS, VAS and field services.

In allusion to this agreement between the two companies, the CEO of Africell Angola, Christopher Lundh, says that "Digis Squared's tools will help our systems to function in an intelligent and efficient way, and where we were impressed with the company's commitment to transfer skills to local staff, a goal in line with ours, and we are confident in their expertise in multi-vendor systems. It's exciting to have Digis Squared join our new networking team…”

On the other hand, the CCO of Digis Squared, Mohamed Hamdy, informed that “we thank Africell Angola for the trust they have placed in us with this significant commitment, and where the Managed Services Agreement will allow the new Africell network to be launched without problems, and successfully implement customer solutions. Digis Squared's resources, AI-assisted tools and processes will ensure that Africell's end-to-end services perform at their best. With our support, Africell customers in Angola will experience a revolution in network excellence and performance”.

It should also be noted that the two parties also signed an additional contract, which obliges Digis Squared to work on optimizing the internal coverage, using its AI-assisted tools, including Digis One, INOS, and iPM solutions, tools that provide a platform intelligent and automated testing, as well as benchmarking and analysis for network operators and service providers, providing unit testing(DT), in-house solution capability(IBS), end-to-end IoT system testing, not forgetting unified performance and fault management and more, while decreasing the time taken to complete work and lower operating cost.

Recently to Africell made its first call from its new network in Angola, and where this technical specificity marks the beginning of network operations and paves the way for a phased deployment of services.
