Alibaba launched an e-commerce training program in Rwanda

Recently the information emerged guaranteeing that, Jack Ma will support and finance African entrepreneurs. But it seems that things don't end there, since, Alibaba launched a training program for E-commerce in Rwanda.

A Alibaba Business School launched its Global E-commerce Talent (GET) program in Rwanda. The program is aimed at university professors from the country of East Africa. the e-commerce course, which takes a week to complete, covered digital economy topics and formed a company for risk management and customer acquisition.

Second Brian A. Wong (Vice President of Global Initiatives of Alibaba Group), the goal is to support the development of e-commerce education, cultivate skill sets that will accelerate Rwanda's vision of becoming Africa's digital center and promote a generation of young people talented and passionate entrepreneurs who can help innovate, create job opportunities and transform the landscape of global commerce in the country.

“Alibaba Business School is also collaborating with universities and training institutions to focus on educating and equipping individuals with the skills necessary for e-commerce to succeed in the digital economy. In August, the first Global E-Commerce Talent Network (GET) in Africa was established with a week-long course covering topics in the digital economy ”.

The GET is being done in partnership with the Rwanda Higher Education Council and the Rwanda Development Council. It is the first time the program is offered in Africa after being offered in Asian countries such as Malaysia and Thailand.
