Students at school 6082, at Centralidade Zango 8.000, in the municipality of Icolo e Bengo, province of Luanda, were awarded a library with free Internet service, as part of the Executive's program for digital inclusion and Internet expansion.

The technological space, which has high-tech information technology, educational material and a landline telephone, was equipped by Angola Telecom, where for the Minister of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Social Communication Mário Oliveira, the inauguration of the library is part of the social responsibility policy of the Ministry he directs, as he considers the digital inclusion of children to be important.

The Manager stressed that education on the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) should start in childhood, so that, in his opinion, there is, in the future, a better use of technologies.

Mário Oliveira also underlined that children should learn to use Information and Communication Technologies from the age of five.

The minister stated that Internet access and expansion are seen as one of the priorities of the Executive and, particularly, of the holder of the Executive Power, within the scope of the "Ngola Digital" project, of installing free Internet access points throughout the country. country.

"The idea is to guarantee the rational use of the Internet and social networks, so that these tools are at the service of society and the economy", said the holder of the portfolio, guaranteeing that the increase in digital literacy in the country is a result of the arrival of the service. of Internet to communities.

It should be noted that with the inauguration of the library, its students now have one more tool for continuous integration and social inclusion.

Pacheco Francisco, the Secretary of State for Pre-School and Primary Education, praised Angola Telecom's initiative and recognized that school 6082 needed a library with Internet service.

He emphasized the fact that the students at that school, which provides pre-school and primary education, are now in a “global village”.

Finally, the Secretary of State said he hoped that students would have a more dynamic learning experience, especially in recreational activities and expressed the desire to see the Angola Telecom initiative expanded at national level.
