African countries must invest in training, knowledge sharing, digital integration and the creation of a training strategy at all levels, as well as the continuous promotion of peace for true African integration.

This thesis came from the Minister of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Social Communication, Mário Oliveira, speaking at the Connected Africa Summit – 2024, which runs from the 22nd to the 25th of this month, under the motto: “Shaping the Future of a Connected Africa: Unlocking Growth beyond Connectivity”.

The person responsible reiterates that technology, when it becomes closer, will facilitate the exchange of experience between countries, especially African integration.

"Angola is developing a set of actions, with regard to telecommunications infrastructures, which are available to serve the continent, specifically the Angosat 2, with prospects of connecting the Southern African Region", said.

Also at the event, Mário Oliveira received in audience several individuals from the technology sector, with emphasis on the national director of the Kenya Space Agency, Hillary Biwott Kipkosgey.

It should be noted that the Connected Africa Summit – 2024 aims to analyze the digital transformation strategy for Africa (2020 – 2030), which also foresees the use of digital technologies and innovation to transform African societies and economies with a view to promoting the integration of Africa, generate inclusive economic growth, stimulate job creation, end the digital divide and eradicate poverty for the continent's socioeconomic development.
