The Institute of Administrative Modernization (IMA) of Angola and the e-Governance Academy of Estonia signed this Wednesday, 22nd, a memorandum of understanding, which aims to consolidate bilateral cooperation in matters of electronic governance, reinforced in March this year during the visit of the President of the Republic of Estonia, Alar Karis, to Angola.
The signing of the memorandum of understanding is one of the highest points on the agenda of the Angolan delegation, headed by the Minister of State and Chief of Staff of the President of the Republic, Adão de Almeida, who will participate tomorrow, Wednesday, in a high-level event on Electronic Governance, promoted by the e-Governance Academy, in the city of Tartu, Estonia. This event is one of the main international forums dedicated to the implementation of public policies for digital transformation
The partnership between IMA and Estonia's e-Governance Academy is a continuation of the actions foreseen in the memorandum of understanding signed between the two Governments in April last year, with the aim of implementing e-governance solutions in Angola, according to Meick Afonso, general director of IMA.
“The Digital Government Academy effectively aims to work on the human component, carrying out studies to promote electronic governance, as well as structuring training programs for citizens and companies. Therefore, the implementation of an academy with this objective is of great importance”, he explained.
