Angola now has a new domain registration service .to in order to facilitate the identification of companies and organizations in cyberspace, as well as a place where national companies can register and sell products, thus improving the security of these goods.
Created by the Ministry of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Social Communication (MINTTICS), through the National Institute for the Promotion of the Information Society (INFOSI), the digital platform is an act of high significance for the country, in particular for all those who make cyber science their way of life, according to Minister Mário Oliveira.
"The launch of a page to manage the .ao domain in real time, with the functionalities that we present today, will contribute to greater dissemination and to give greater relevance to the contents of the Angolan geography in international search engines, such as Google and others, in instead of a dot com or dot net“, said the director when intervening in the act.

Mário Oliveira points out that the platform will greatly facilitate the identification of national companies and international organizations in cyberspace.
In Angola, he continued, there is a growing number of young people entering the job market, and the internet is a fertile and generous space for creating businesses at low cost and with a worldwide reach, referring, in this chapter, to young creators and startups.
The director of INFOSI, André Mpumba Pedro, said that the purpose of this platform is to empower the Information Technology sector in Angola with a new improved e-commerce application for the registration and private management of domains with the .ao suffix.
"The equipping of this new application with new business-level tools, specifically to meet the needs resulting from the organic growth we have witnessed in domain registration, as well as licensing, for the first time, companies approved by INFOSI to exercise the full activity of Official Resellers Authorized domains with suffix “ao”He explained.
From what was revealed at the launch event, INFOSI is in charge of managing the “ccTLD” in Angola and works to facilitate access by people and companies to the digital presence on the internet.
