Angola already has digital sovereignty for control, data protection and technological infrastructures, revealed the general director of the National Institute for the Promotion of the Information Society (INFOSI), Andre Pedro.
The official, who was speaking during a lecture on the theme “Impact of .ao domains and ipv6 on digital sovereignty” which aimed to inform telecommunications operators, users and students about the advances that the country has registered, guaranteed that the goal has to do with achieving identity and autonomy in all sectors.
Still in his approach, the director explained that the Internet, which was previously a restricted space, has today become the “backbone” of the global economy where each country needs to have control over its digital presence.
