
The Ministry of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Social Communication (MINTTICS), launched today (17) the 1st Forum on Cybersecurity, which will take place on May 10 of this year.
According to what was revealed in the presentation of the event, the forum will bring together experts, specialists, representatives of public and private companies, with a view to discussing the security strategies of networks and information systems, aiming to increase the guarantees of free, safe use and efficient cyberspace.
For Minister Mário Oliveira, the existence of a reality of insecurity and CyberCrime, in the various sectors, leading to the conclusion of a high exposure of information, given the situation, where it is expected that the meeting will help to bring together ideas for an effective solution.

Therefore, the 1st Forum on Cybersecurity will focus on a round table with the theme: The vision of public entities on the impact of cyber attacks on their activity, where the importance of Angolan legislation in the fight against CyberCrime, the impact of cybercrime prevention and the security operations center at the service of cybersecurity for government, public and private companies.
During the forum, the issue of setting up the Cybersecurity Academy will also be addressed, along with those already existing at the Telecommunications Institute (ITEL), with a view to certifying young Angolans, recent graduates in this sector.
Mário Oliveira said that there is no point in having laws and technologies without frameworks capable of responding to the issue of security at the level of national cyberspace, for this reason the installation of the Academy of Cybersecurity is urgent.
