Angola may have an electric bus assembly unit, through the Indian multinational Hinduja Group of Companies, which has already sent the proposal to the Angolan Government during a n-business forum held under the auspices of the India-Africa Economic Foundation (IAEF), on the sidelines of Expo 2020 Dubai, last weekend.

According to Prakash Hinduja, President of the multinational, the proposal for the realization of this project has already been presented and is being evaluated by the National Executive, awaiting crucial decisions in the coming months.

Speaking to journalists, the manager also said that the company had also presented proposals to the Government that include the implementation of operations in the areas of the financial market, agro-industry and mineral resources, where in the latter they focus on the exploration of gold and the cutting of jewels, foreseeing that the promotion of connections between the group and Angolan partners may result in the introduction of innovation and the development of new solutions, with actions aimed at the development of Angola.

On the other hand, the Angolan ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, Albino Malungo, who also participated in the forum, highlighted the great potential of India to, through investments, promote growth and economic development in Angola.

The diplomat, who maintains an intense schedule of contacts throughout Expo2020 Dubai, highlighted the large number of companies from India that, throughout the event, expressed interest in setting up economic operations in Angola.

It should be noted that the AIEF is an institutional mechanism, facilitator of the private sector and micro, small and medium-sized companies in the promotion of knowledge, technologies, industry, trade and investments between Africa and the eastern country.
