An Angolan delegation of IT specialists from the National Assembly recently participated in the first global meeting on good practices in implementing the Artificial Intelligence (AI) in parliaments.
The event that took place in Brasília, the capital of Brazil, addressed various practices in the Brazilian, European, Italian and Norwegian parliaments, as well as innovation strategies for the 180 parliaments of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (UIP).
The creation of AI laboratories and processes was also being approached to guarantee ethical principles in the development of systems based on this tool for parliaments.

Additionally, three working groups were created to develop a global guide of good practices for implementing artificial intelligence systems in parliaments.
It should be launched in November 2024, at the world conference of the Electronic Parliament (e-parliament).
At the end of the event, it was revealed that parliaments will take advantage of AI-based systems to improve the exchange of information between the Executive and Legislative branches, efficiency in transcribing documents, searching digital files and ensuring greater citizen inclusion in the legislative process and interaction with the deputies
