An Angolan delegation is present at the high-level event on Electronic Governance, promoted by the e-Governance Academy, in the city of Tartu, Estonia.
Led by the Minister of State and head of the Civil House of the President of the Republic, Adão de Almeida, the delegation participates in the forum that stands out as one of the main international events dedicated to the implementation of public policies for digital transformation, in a work agenda that includes meetings with local entities, responsible for the matters under analysis.
Estonia is recognized worldwide for having the highest rate of digitalization of public services, serving as a global example in the matter.
According to the director general of the Institute for Administrative Modernization (IMA), Meick Afonso, Angola carries out this mission to Estonia following the materialization of the actions foreseen in the memorandum of understanding signed between the two governments, in April 2023.
BUT: Angola and Estonia sign agreement on electronic governance
Meick Afonso said that the document focuses on the implementation of electronic governance solutions for Angola. Therefore, he added, this mission aims to sign a memorandum of understanding with the e-Governance Academy, with the aim of creating a Digital Government academy in Angola.
"The Digital Government Academy comes as an important asset of the entire e-governance ecosystem, because it aims to work on the human component, carrying out studies to promote Electronic Government in the country, as well as structuring training programs for citizens and companies”, he stressed.
