A Multitel, Angola Telecom e TV Cabo It is the companies in the telecommunications sector that are going to be privatised, through a public tender, said this Tuesday the deputy spokesperson for the Privatization Program (PROPRIV), Ottoniel dos Santos.
The also Secretary of State for the Treasury, who was speaking at a press conference after the Interministerial Meeting on the Privatization Program, said that “these companies will now enter the privatization phase, and, therefore, we came here to provide information to the Interministerial Commission on how the process will take place”.
The Privatization Program (PROPRIV) began in mid-2019 and essentially aims to strengthen Angola's private sector, making it more efficient and competitive. It appears as one of the guiding lines of the restructuring and resizing of the Public Business Sector (SEP).

PROPRIV forms part of the Public Finance Reform, with a view to promoting macroeconomic stability, increasing the productivity of the national economy and achieving a more equitable distribution of national income.
