Angola Telecom plans to lead the national telecommunications market

The chairman of the board of directors of Angola Telecom, Adilson dos Santos, said on Wednesday, in Luanda, that the public company is working to improve its database in order to achieve self-support and lead the national telecommunications market.

Adilson dos Santos, who spoke on the sidelines of the online colloquium on the 45th anniversary of national independence, under the theme “The importance and challenges of telecommunications, information and social communication technologies for the future of the country”, stressed that the company intends to improve the service provided, with the aim of regaining more than 162 thousand registered customers.“We have to improve our service to get a strong partner. The State, as a shareholder, should lead the destinations for the reorganization of the company, which involves serving the inhabitants with the best technologies, since the company is undergoing a major improvement in the residential, business and wholesale segments ”, said Adislon dos Satnos.

On the occasion, the chairman of the board of directors highlighted the evolution that took place in the telecommunications and information technology sector in the country, especially with regard to the quality of information to users.

In relation to the colloquium, engineer Pedro Mendes considered that communications in Angola have a history and started in the Kingdom of Congo, extending to Gabon and the Central African Republic. He added that, with the liberalization of the market, the need arose to have a regulator and empower workers, in order to make the sector strong.

Angola Telecom holds a global license to operate various services, including mobile telephony, and can adapt to services in the mobile network, voice, data and television.
