On Thursday, January 17 of 2018, a workshop was held in Luanda by the Ministry of Finance through the General Tax Administration (AGT), in partnership with the Ministry of Commerce,
where it was guaranteed that Angola will join the platform of the Single Window of Foreign Trade from 2021, with a view to facilitating the movement of goods at the borders. The electronic tool presented,

The electronic platform is being developed based on the Presidential Decree 220 / 18, of 25 of September, sets requirements to improve export control, establishes a single IT system for international trade and imposes adequate surveillance of the territorial sea and the Atlantic coast. With this platform, it is also expected to reduce customs clearance time and costs, in addition to providing greater security and speed in the handling of customs procedures.

With a project, Angola seeks improvements and efficiency in customs services, following examples from countries such as Uganda, Mozambique, Singapore and China. In this way, the agents that intervene in the foreign trade chain, begin to present, in a single point of entry, standardized customs declarations and dispatches, in order to comply with the refutatory requirements regarding the import, export and transit of goods.

The “Single Electronic Window” project is part of an initiative of the  AGT, which is financed by the China credit line. It is a process that aims to eliminate the bureaucracy that hinders the good business environment.
