Angola will soon have the construction of a marketing and advertising school, a project that will be implemented in a partnership between the Ministry of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Social Communication (MINTTICS) and the Training Center for Journalists (CEFOJOR).

This information was provided by the Secretary of State for Social Communication, Nuno Albino, speaking at the opening of the II National Conference on Advertising Ethics and Legislation, which took place last week, adding that the Angolan Government recognizes the role of the advertising industry in boosting of economic diversification, because of this fact, it is important to train and improve staff for the market.

For Nuno Albino, the advertising industry has conquered its space in Angola, being an activity that drives innovation in the products and services offered and generates jobs, increasing its value for the economy.

Despite this development, underlines the Secretary of State, the advertising market was one of the sectors that was affected by the crisis and the Covid-19 pandemic, thus harming the treasury of companies, which were forced to cut advertising expenses .

When the new era of digitization begins, Nuno Albino reported that the advertising sector is irreversibly starting to occupy people's lives, a fact that now matters to understand the role reserved for the advertising industry, in particular those consumed on digital platforms and social networks. Therefore, it advances that, through training, it will adapt with mastery, taking into account the new market paradigm anchored for digital migration.

Also at the event, Nuno Albino revealed that the Executive will continue to support and encourage the emergence of more actors in the advertising market, such as advertisers, advertising agencies, communication vehicles, sound and video producers, sales promotion agencies and relations public, graphics and designers, in order to improve the supply and competitiveness.

It should be noted that the XNUMXnd National Conference on Advertising Ethics and Legislation was attended by the main players in the national marketing and advertising market, provincial advertising directors, deputies and representatives of the media.

The conference focused on various topics, such as “Outdoor Advertising in Angola”, “The Challenges of Online Advertising in Angola” and “The Ethical Limits of Advertising in Election Periods”.
