Angosat-2 target of monitoring work

During the last week the Angosat-2 it has been the subject of monitoring works, in order to control its normal course in accordance with the planning and recommendation contained in the satellite's operating documentation.

According to a note from the National Space Program Management Office (GGPEN), the works consist of the orientation of the Ka-band antenna, using the signal from one of the antennas installed on the satellite.

This is a complex process and requires high accuracy in data entry, because the alignment of the terrestrial antenna depends on it.

It is also another training process and the development of practical knowledge for the GGPEN specialists who have been involved in the referred operations on a day-to-day basis, which, due to their high degree of complexity and sensitivity, require specialists with good academic preparation and dedicated.

It should also be noted that these ongoing works have also relied on the participation and support of Russian specialists who also have the day-to-day task of transmitting experience and knowledge to GGPEN specialists.

Still on the work, we also highlight the creation and verification of the radiation diagrams of the antennas, a fundamental element for defining the final coverage of the satellite, as well as the variation of the azimuth and elevation of the antennas involved in the satellite monitoring process.
