O AngoSat-2 has played a crucial role in improving connectivity and Internet access in Angola, providing stable coverage to remote areas, data transmission and reducing dependence on terrestrial infrastructure, revealed the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Angolan Institute of Communications (INACOM), Joaquim Muhongo.

According to the official, AngoSat-2 has currently allowed the significant expansion of Internet services in urban and rural areas throughout Angola, by reducing gaps in digital inclusion.

"With AngoSat-2, Angola is taking firm steps to ensure that more citizens and businesses have access to quality digital services, as well as working towards technological integration in sectors such as Health, Education and Agriculture.", said.

The PCA also stressed that the satellite is also helping to strengthen the telecommunications infrastructure by enabling the sharing of resources and improving the efficiency of services provided by public and private companies.

According to the Chairman of INACOM, AngoSat-2 is part of a series of strategic initiatives that aim to modernize the telecommunications sector and position Angola as a reference on the African continent.
These actions, he assured, include the expansion of fiber optic networks and the promotion of emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence and cloud computing.
