The internet benefits only 23% of the Mozambican population and only 50% have access to telecommunications services, where the country's government is committed to improving these indicators.

The data revealed at the last meeting of the Coordinating Council of the Ministry of Transport and Communications, which aimed to reflect on the activities of the sector, where it was verified that there was, in terms of production, a nominal growth of around 11,8% from January to October from 2022.

"In this Coordinating Council, we found that, in the balance sheet of the sector's production, we recorded a nominal growth of around 11,8% from January to October 2022, exceeding the target set of 5% for the year 2022”, said Mateus Magala, Minister of Transport and Communications.

Also at that event, which took place in Maputo and brought together staff from the Ministry of Transport and Communications from across the country, the road accidents that have been causing many on national roads were discussed and it was decided that the work should be integrated and multisectoral.
