Apple creates patent to protect iPhone in fall

iPhone crash
The fragility of high-end smartphones in the fall is something really annoying. Of course, they are not made to fall, but it is impressive that the first time they touch the floor, the result is almost always a cracked screen.

Thinking about it, Apple recently registered a patent on a protection mechanism that prevents damage in the fall for smartphones, tablets and laptops. Apparently the system realizes that the device is falling and mitigates the fall. Rumors indicate that the mechanism began to be developed for the iPhone and Apple decided to expand to all of its products.

The system works with the gyroscope and / or accelerometer that detects when the device is falling and how far it is from the ground. Then the data will be sent in milliseconds to a processor that will decide how best to drop the device and avoid further damage.

Apple was inspired by its Lions and Leopards, Apple's iOS, because the system "relies" on the feline movement to turn in the fall to soften it. The patent seems to go beyond this and also has the possibility of ejecting the cables when sudden movements are made.

It is a very promising patent and longed for by everyone, since we have all dropped the phone at some point in our lives, and dropping a phone like an iPhone or Galaxy is something that pokes the heart (and of course, a huge pain in pocket).
