Apple took advantage of its annual event – 'It's Glowtime' – to present the tenth generation of its smartwatches. The Apple Watch Series 10 is a special edition and, as such, has it been given new features?
Right at the beginning of the presentation, Apple highlighted that this is the largest display on an Apple Watch Series – noting that it is even slightly larger than the Apple Watch Ultra. Furthermore, Apple noted that it has the thinnest display on its watches at 9,7mm thick.
As for the display, Apple noted that this is a Wide Angle OLED – improving brightness when the screen is viewed from more angles.
In addition to a black version, Apple has announced that the Apple Watch Series 10 will be available in silver and rose gold. Those interested will also be able to purchase this generation of the smartwatch in titanium, versions that will have straps in similar shades on the market.
The speaker has received a considerable improvement, with Apple revealing that Apple Watch Series 10 users are able to play music and podcasts directly through the watch.
Regarding the battery, the Cupertino technology company noted that charging is more efficient. Apple stated that in just 30 minutes, it will be possible to have up to 80% battery power. The autonomy is for more than 18 hours.
Inside, you'll find the S10, a high-performance processor that speeds up all the features users have become accustomed to with the Apple Watch. The machine learning technology enabled by this processor also allows the translation app to be used directly on the Series 10.
In terms of features, the Apple Watch Series 10 will be able to alert users if they are suffering from sleep apnea. The watch will be able to diagnose this condition in users, performing a continuous assessment throughout the night to inform users if they need to see a specialist.
This feature will be available on Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2 in more than 150 countries where the gadget is available.
