A Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), now allows its users to download a copy of all the data collected, from activities on the App Store and iTunes, as well as account and device information associated with Apple ID, Apple Care support history, online store movements and much more more.
Through the privacy portal platform it is possible to correct data, temporarily disable the account or delete all information. However, suspension of the account implies that the user can no longer use services such as iMessage, FaceTime or iCloud.
The change that Apple now created thus opens the door to the General Data Protection Regulation and the consultation of data by users, giving them the possibility to consult and evaluate the information that the company has about each user.
Apple informs you that data compilation can take up to a week to complete after the user's original request and that the files are deleted in two weeks. The user can choose up to a maximum of 25 GB of information and Apple is committed to dividing the data into files in 1GB, 2GB, 5GB, 10GB or 25GB.
