The first iPhone was released in January of 2007, three years later in January of 2010, was released the first iPad. Since then we have never seen anything new from Apple, but in the words of Tim Cook, in a recent interview with The Wall Street Journal, it seems the wait is over.

Tim says that Apple plans to enter new categories this year, “There will be new categories. We are not prepared to talk about it, but we are working on some really incredible things ”. Asked if these new categories would have anything to do with the improvement in some existing products like the iPhone and iPad, the CEO did not comment. Certainly the rumors always point to “wearable” devices or a new television platform or the mythical iTV.

Recently Apple bought 8% of its shares that were falling. Tim took advantage of saying that the shares were bought because Apple believes in Apple and bets its chips on it. "We are really confident about what we are doing and what we are planning to do." He emphasizes that the company's focus is on "creating great products" and "we are not going to force ourselves to reach a price that makes us produce something we are not proud of."
