Apple may put another button on your devices

Rumors point out that Apple has registered a new patent that could cause a major change in the design of the company's products (iPhone and iPad's), as this patent allows the company to include a rotary button on its devices.

Apparently, the button will behave similarly to the digital crown on Apple Watch. Through it it will be possible for the user to control the volume, turn the screen on and off, take photos, resize text, among other possible settings.

This supposed button makes more sense on the watch since the device is too small to be controlled with commands on the screen. In iPhones, iPad and iPod, it could also work, if the button were the only button on the devices to do all the operations mentioned above.

Therefore, it is worth noting here that the patent illustrations show devices with three physical buttons, that is, instead of replacing the existing ones, Apple plans to include one more. But there is no guarantee that this will happen, because patents are just registrations of ideas, so it may be that the scheme described in this document does not even become a reality.

Would you like to have a new button on the iPhone?
