Microsoft's personal assistant will keep you on your promises

Cortana

"Promise is debt”- for those who take this phrase seriously, they must be disappointed when they promise to do something, but forget or overlapping tasks prevents them from completing successfully.

Microsoft has now decided to give a hand and users can use the Windows 10 (Cortana) to set reminders for themselves. As if that were not enough, Cortana will take a more proactive approach to avoid that some appointments are lost among its dozens of emails.

The following phrases are very common:
"I will give you an answer tomorrow." | "I will deliver this report on Friday." | "I will pay the monthly fee on February 25th"

Personal Assistant Cortana can now review your emails for promises you made and remind them before the deadline expires. To make these "suggested reminders", Cortana uses machine learning to recognize promises you have made that have a date attached to them.

Cortana's new email scanning feature is being made available for Windows 10 and will arrive on iOS and Android in the coming weeks. Currently, you must use an Outlook.com or Office 365 to access the feature, but support for additional email services will be launched soon, according to Microsoft.

How do I enable this feature?

To begin with the reminders suggested by Cortana, you will need to connect your Outlook.com or Office 365 account to Cortana. In the personal assistant settings, click Connected Services to connect any type of email account.
