Participants at the 3rd national meeting of UNESCO member schools in Caxito, Bengo Province, recommended the implementation of information and communication technologies in the teaching and learning process, in order to include for greater digital integration and provide better conditions for digital inclusion .

This recommendation comes at the two-day event held in that province, where participants discussed pertinent issues related to education and culture, as well as defending the dynamization of the process of insertion of national languages ​​in the school curriculum.

It should be noted that at the same meeting, the lecturers recommended the appreciation of culture in teacher training, with a view to strengthening the values ​​and identity traits of the preservation of national culture in the teaching and learning process.

Finally, the participants concluded that education is strictly interconnected with culture, which is why it is incumbent upon the school, the family, the churches, the community and other educational agencies to instill respect for plurality and cultural differences, so that everyone can live together , regardless of the values, customs and habits of each people.

Organized by the Angola National Commission for UNESCO, the meeting addressed various themes, which were divided into three panels such as “the legal provision of the education and teaching system in the strengthening of national culture - challenges and perspectives", and the "Information and Social Communication Technologies and the media as tools for strengthening national culture".

At the end of the ceremony, the director of the Bengo provincial Education Office, Manuel Fernando, stated that education is a worldwide phenomenon that no society can survive without and that it preserves the collective and cultural memory of a people.

The 3rd national meeting of schools associated with UNESCO took place under the motto “Education and culture for the integral formation of the individual”, where it was possible to reflect on various issues related to education and national culture.
