BNA warns of illegal operation of Visa card issuing companies

O National Bank of Angola (BNA) issued an alert for the existence of three companies in the Angolan market –Elite Service, Kwanza Nete big bizness– dedicated to the commercialization of international payment cards, through the Visa card network, are operating services illegally and with risk for those who resort to them.

This information was revealed in a official note from the BNA, further informing that the same companies also act in the issuance of "portfolio for emergency reserve and savings in foreign currencies and term deposits in foreign currencies, in addition to foreign exchange trading".

In the same statement, the main national banking institution stresses that the three companies are not licensed for the above activities, which is why it recommends “banking financial institutions and the general public to refrain from establishing any business relationship with them".

Finally, the BNA adds that the “their prosecutors, to refrain from performing any act liable to be qualified as a crime”.
