After the Internet of Angola Telecom presented instability since Thursday (13), due to a malfunction that occurred in the submarine cable of the SAT-3, now to Angola Cables ended up undergoing two cuts in one of its submarine cables. WACS of Angola Cables suffered two total cuts, which caused the limitation of traffic capacity, increased latency and losses in the package of services provided.

According to an Angola Cables press release, the incident occurred around 20 hours on Tuesday in the S1D segment, specifically 1,14 Km and 3,8 Km in the main chamber (Beach Mainhole), from Sangano, in the country's capital. According to the information, actions to identify alternative solutions are currently underway, namely through the activation of redundant circuits in other submarine cable systems, with mooring points in London (United Kingdom), Lisbon (Portugal) and Cape Town (Africa) do Sul, to remedy the situation. The process, adds the report, will route Internet traffic through alternative routes, start the definitive repair procedures for the submarine cable, go through the process of mobilizing the ship, acquiring permissions and preparation of the operation plan and schedule of specific activities that this type of repair requires.
