The new Apple Campus it is practically in its final phase, and it has a month to be officially opened, the building has a main ring-shaped construction of 2,8 million square feet, several parking lots, a fitness 100.000 square feet, an 120.000 footbridge auditorium, and a dedicated visitor center.
Baptized with the name Apple Park, it has now been formally introduced and opens its doors in April. The building took almost 4 years of construction which is now at an end, on one of the most advanced campuses on the planet and will be officially opened in April 2017.
In designing these new buildings, Apple wanted to make them more energy-efficient and greener. This will work on 100% from renewable energy, including solar and biofuels. For this purpose there will be about 65.000 square meters (700.000 square feet) of solar panels on the Campus, as well as a low-carbon central plant in place.
