The municipality of Cazenga, in Luanda, will have twenty-five new free internet points, which will be inaugurated this Saturday (06/01), as part of the Angola Online project of the National Institute for the Promotion of the Information Society.

According to the director of the institution, Miguel Cazevo, made it known that the points are located in seven streets in the blocks of the Tala Hady - Cariango neighborhood and will be denominated Digital Village by the concentration of this number of accesses in the same locality.

One hundred and five points are planned for the province of Luanda this year. The Kilamba and Sequele centralities and the Cassequel district are a priority.

The province of Luanda has around 24 points of free access to the internet, highlighting the Cazenga Historic Landmark, Independence Square, Viana Youth House, Samba Recreativo Park, Largo das Escolas, Instituto de Telecomunicações, Largo da São Domingos Church, Largo da FAPA, Cidade Universitária and Praça da Família.

Each access point or area will have the ability to support 60 users simultaneously, for every two hours in a day. After this time is over, the user no longer has access to allow other users to enter the network.

According to Miguel Cazevo, the intention of continuing projects in other locations is so that more and more young people can have access to the internet. “We will take this initiative to schools and other public places in several localities of the country".
