The legion of tablets ...

The Blackberry or Research In Motion, as it was known before, has made some contradictory decisions, beginning with the smartphones with physical keyboard and tablets with features far from those used by the competition.

Now, the CEO of BlackBerry, Thorsten Heins, predicted that tablets will have a very short lifespan and will eventually become obsolete.

"In five years, I think there will be no more reason to buy a tablet"

The funny thing is that BlackBerry has already produced a tablet, the Blackberry PlayBook. The reception of this tablet was disastrous. There was an expectation that Blackberry would launch a new version of the PlayBook with the new BlackBerry 10 operating system, but it all went downhill when CEO came to the public to deny such an intention. According to him, the tablet market is not a good betting option.

There's still plenty of time for one to attack the competition:

In five years I see BlackBerry as absolute leader in the mobile computing market. That's what we're planning. We want to get the largest market share possible, but without being an imitator

Do you agree with the Blackberry CEO, the iPads, Galaxy Tabs, Kindles and company will disappear in 5 years from now?
