Earlier this year, specifically in March of 2015, the Google and ASUS announced that they would be working on a new device called Chromebit that would be a computer with the Chrome operating system to which it would be connected to Television via the HDMI port.

After almost 9 months, practically on 17 November 2015, Chromebit was officially introduced and launched, which will be the new way to use Chrome OS on any screen with an HDMI port. what could be called a larger, more bulky version of the Chromecast that has recently been remodeled. Like this device, the Chromebit comes with a specific charger to connect to the mains, unlike the Chromecast that also has an HDMI input.

The Chromebit weighs 75 grams and has a Rockchip RK3288 processor, will have 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, supports microUSB inputs (for power supply) and for microSD cards, it is compatible with WiFi connectivity and Bluetooth 4.0. It will run Chrome OS.

It is also worth mentioning that Chromebit, which uses the Chrome operating system, has the autonomy to run any web application.It is already available in countries such as the United States, Australia, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Japan, New Zealand, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan and the United Kingdom.
