The director of FBI left yet another warning about the level of risk to the United States from attacks carried out by Chinese hackers, considering that these attacks are reaching a “feverish level".

Theft and the use of artificial intelligence technology are taking this threat to a new level, admitted Christopher Wray during a presentation at the Munich Security conference.

The official recalled that as early as 2011 hackers sponsored by the Beijing regime were positioned for potential cyber attacks against American gas and oil companies, but says that today the situation is much more critical.

Christopher Wray said that to improve their hacking operations, these attackers are using stolen artificial intelligence technology, which is even “used to steal even more AI technology and data”, cites Business Insider.

BUT: Cyberattacks hit 120 countries driven by espionage

Last month, during a congressional hearing, the director of the FBI had warned of the need for the United States to invest in its cyber defense capabilities, to be able to better respond to threats coming from China, the same website also reported.

Wray told Congressmen that even if every one of the country's FBI agents and intelligence analysts focused exclusively on threats coming from China, the country continued to have at least a 50-to-1 disadvantage in the capacity available to work in this area.

In July, the director of British intelligence, Richard Moore of M16, also admitted in an interview with Politico that the agency currently devotes more resources to China than to any other mission and that this should be seen as a clear sign of the power of China and its intentions.
