The context of cybersecurity will be one of the main themes of the XI meeting of Ministers of Telecommunications of Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (CPLP), according to the official press release that MenosFios newsroom had access to.

For Manuel Lobão, Director for Cooperation of the CPLP, the meeting will also address the issue of heavy investment in submarine cables, a step that brought a great advance in the way communication circulates between the Member States and allows for a faster connection, with the highest speed technology between the continents connected to the community.

"The fact that there are submarine cables, moored in the CPLP member countries, will allow a new agility that is still postured”, said the official, reiterating that it also deserves the attention of technicians and that roaming 0 in the community could be part of the agenda of the ministers of Telecommunications.

Manuel Lobão stresses that “this will be a benefit for the entire community, because when citizens move from one state to another, they will not have the heavy roaming charges that are known".
