Angola must invest in the construction of more infrastructure for the growth of the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) sector, in order to leverage this branch of science, in particular space technology, essential for the emergence of modern society.

This opinion was defended by the specialist from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Danielle Wood, speaking in a lecture on the “Importance of Special Technology for society”, reinforcing that it is necessary to look more at a new Angola, based on technological development, through the creation of technology universities.

"I am impressed by the way Angolan youth use technologies”, said the expert, reiterating that satellites are important tools for society, in particular young people.

Regarding the event, Danielle Wood emphasizes that the activity served to transmit knowledge about the sector, as well as educate participants about the importance of space technology in solving some of the country's problems, particularly in the case of drought.

The lecture, an initiative of the Ministry of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Social Communication, is part of the national strategy, according to Elcano Gaspar, member of the space technology development team of the National Space Program Management Office.
