The Integrated Technological Training Center (CINFOTEC) in the province of Huambo will provide 450 places for technical-professional training in its first phase, in the areas of Information and Communication Technology, IT, Mechanics and Production, Electricity, Renewable Energy, Photography, Video Editing, Mechatronics, Electromedicine and Meteorology .

According to what was revealed, the training will last from three months to three years, and the objective of the Integrated Technological Training Center in Huambo is to train young people in various professions, so that after training they will have technical knowledge in specific areas.

For the governor of Huambo, Lotty Nolika, infrastructure is a good social investment in the region, as it is fully equipped with modern equipment and resources. The center, she added, comprises several blocks, including laboratories, workshops, a multipurpose field and a machine room.

The government official encouraged young people to join professional technical courses, to make it easier for them to enter the job market.

The center's general director, Geraldo Pambassangue, highlighted that the future venture will also enable young people to be trained, especially the most disadvantaged. The infrastructure, he said, will train students with the ability to get work in the market.

"We are negotiating with the Instituto Superior Politécnico do Huambo, so that the institution's students can do internships at CINFOTEC”, He stressed.

With the entry into operation of the Huambo Integrated Technological Training Center, Geraldo Pambassangue continued that new pedagogical methods will also be developed, in addition to the creation of study subjects to meet local needs.

"Technical-professional courses have many advantages. Whenever you finish a professional course, you are qualified for a job.”, he said.

CINFOTEC in Huambo was built in a space of 6.531,17 square meters, within the framework of bilateral cooperation between Angola and the Republic of China, it is the second in the country, after Luanda, with an investment of over 30 million US dollars .

Belonging to the Ministry of Public Administration, Labor and Social Security (MAPTSS), the center will have a capacity for 710 trainees, per shift, in Information and Communication Technology (ICTs), Electricity, Metrology, Mechanics and Production courses.

It should also be noted that CINFOTEC-Huambo has six classrooms, 28 laboratories and six workshops, which will teach theoretical and practical subjects from professional courses in mechanics and production, information technology, meteorology, electro-medicine, electricity and mechatronics.
