A Cisco and INTERPOL signed an agreement to share intelligence on threats to combat cybercrime.

The agreement between the World Information Technology Specialist and the International Police will bring together two organizations in coordinating and developing an information-sharing approach.

"The agreement between Cisco and INTERPOL aims to support programs developed to combat crimes that take place in cyberspace, thus helping member countries in identifying these cyber attacks, as well as their perpetrators".

Conducted by INTERPOL's global cybercrime center, the INTERPOL Global Complex for Innovation (IGCI) in Singapore will team up with two organizations to coordinate and develop an information-sharing approach.

This cooperation will allow, not only the threats to be detected rapidly throughout the world, but will also pave the way for future cooperation and training in knowledge sharing.

Cisco also notes that its technology blocks 19,7 billion threats per day through its Collective Security Intelligence, guaranteed by the Cisco Talos Security Intelligence team and the Research Group.
