Clínica Girassol returned to normal operation this beginning of the week, after being the target of a cyber attack that kept the entire computer system of the health institution offline for almost two weeks.
According to the information that reached the newsroom of MenosFios, the computer attack caused several weaknesses in the clinic's normal services, with emphasis on the preparation of prescriptions and delivery of laboratory tests to patients, which started to be done manually.
In an official statement, Clínica Girassol informs that it is already carrying out several works to determine the causes and guarantee greater security, so that situations of this kind do not happen again.

The malicious action, according to the note, triggered the immediate intervention of the related bodies of the medical unit, which allowed the replacement of services and the continuation of the normal functioning of the hospital unit.
The note also reveals that the competent bodies have already been duly informed of the said episode and the appropriate procedures are in progress for the necessary clarifications in a timely manner. The management of the Clinic guarantees that the work is being monitored by the National Police and that, after completion, the necessary clarifications will be provided.
