Angolan delegation among the best in the ACPC international programming contest

The Angolan representatives who were at the 25th Afro-Arab Programming Contest (ACPC) were in the best position among the teams from Central Africa, which took place in Egypt, city of Sharm El Sheik, from 2 to 6 December of the current year.

The Angolan delegation was made up of 2 (two) teams from the Higher Polytechnic Institute of Technologies and Sciences (ISPTEC), namely Bad B and Candy Crush Overflow, in a universe of more than 120 opponents coming from 80 (eighty) universities in Africa and the Middle East.

The Bad B team managed to solve 4 exercises and Candy Crush Overflow, 2 exercises, having been awarded the medal with the distinction of best team in Central Africa, among the 25 countries from Africa and the Middle East that were in the contest.

It should be noted that the Bad B, Candy Crush and Overflow teams, all belonging to ISPTEC, were the big winners of the 6th edition of the Angolan University Programming Contest - AOCPC🇧🇷 The national contest had more than 50 teams from more than 35 Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in the country, where it had a large number of novelties, such as the creation of the category of high school students, with the team called The Winners of the Institute Middle Polytechnic Smart Bits won 1st place.

Regarding the contest, the main objective of Angola's participation in this important event is limited to promoting knowledge and scientific-technological skills of HEIs, as well as in the field of computer programming or coding, being essential realities for the insertion of Angola in the knowledge age.

AOCPC is an event that aims to promote creativity, new talent, teamwork and innovation in the construction of new software programs and allow national students to test their skills.
