US airlines concerned about 5G interference

This appeal by airlines comes two days after the 5G service began operating in the US, and where the US air sector is concerned about the consequences of 5G on planes due to possible disruptions to on-board instruments.

"Considering the short time remaining and the importance of this completely preventable economic calamity, we respectfully ask that you support and take all necessary actions for 5G to be developed, with the exception of when towers are placed too close to airport runways“, they wrote, in the letter addressed to the federal government, to the aviation safety agency (FAA, in its acronym in English) and also to the telecommunications regulator (FCC).

In short, these leaders also want a break, "until the FAA can determine how development can be safely accomplished without catastrophic disruption".
