Get to know Angola's mobile phone market share for the year 2022

O until last year, the mobile telephony market was only held by Unitel and Movicel, even after the Angolan Government assigned Angola Telecom, an operating license for the mobile telephony sector, which has not happened to this day, and it is not known where this project is heading. Last year at this time, Unitel accumulated 90% of the mobile telephony market share in Angola, leaving Movicel with 10%.

But with the arrival of a new player in the market, in less than a year, the sector's paradigm has already begun to change, presenting a completely different picture from the previous one, where we now have Unitel with 78%, Africell with 15% and finally Movicel with 7%.

In the end, who ends up winning with all of this is the end user who are the customers, the competition will certainly continue to bring new services, more accessible prices, and the best choice option for customers. Certainly, if the third mobile operator (Angola Telecom) were operational, the scenario would be different from the current one.
