MenosFios Office. How to create shared library on iOS

643

Are you a user of Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), and would you like to easily share your photos with those you love most? Well, iOS 16 has a feature that a lot of people try to use: sharing photos. In this version, you can create a library and share it with whoever you want, and everyone can add and delete photos from it.

No Lessfios Office Today we're going to show you how you can easily share your photos from iOS 16.

To create the shared photo library you need to have the iOS 16.1 on your iPhone or iOS 16 on your iPad. Those you share your photo library with should also have these versions. In the case of macOS, it is necessary to have Ventura. Another requirement is that you have your photos synchronized with iCloud.

You won't be able to share your photo library if it's not stored in Apple's cloud. If you want to use this feature and don't have enough space in iCloud, you'll need to upgrade to 50GB, 200GB or 2TB and sync your photos. Once uploaded to iCloud, you can use the feature. On your iPhone or iPad:

1. Go to “Settings”.

2. Click on your account.

3. Now, access “iCloud”.

4. Click on “Photographs”.

At the bottom of the screen you will find the “Shared library” option. There you can activate it and choose who you want to have access to it. You can share it with up to 5 people in total.

You can share the Photos library with up to 5 other people for a total of 6 people with access to it. Everyone with access will be able to add, delete and edit photos. The ones you share are up to you when you create a library. Just keep in mind that you can only have one. The photos you share only take up space on the creator's iCloud account.

After sharing your library, you can toggle in the Photos app whether you want to view personal or shared ones. You can also add Photos to the shared library if you wish, and you can even do it automatically if you prefer, in the “Settings” of your iPhone and iPad, in the section dedicated to the Photos app.

You can also choose where you want the photos you take to be saved in the camera by clicking on the icon at the top of the screen. If it is highlighted in yellow, the photos will go to the shared library; if it is in black and white, they will go to your personal library. In the Photos application, you can also move them from one library to another using the icon located in the top right corner.
