Consultório MenosFios: How to prevent the Power button from hanging up a call on the iPhone

1211

By default, the Power button ends calls on the iPhone. However, this can be annoying for people who accidentally press this button, or who simply want to end the call only when they click the red button. To get rid of the problem, iOS gives you the option to disable this feature.

Therefore, in the Lessfios Office Today we show you how to stop the Power button from ending calls on your iPhone.

To prevent the Power button from hanging up a call on your iPhone, follow these steps:

1. Open “Settings” on your iPhone.

2. Scroll down and click on “Accessibility”.

3. Now, click on “Ringtone”.

4. Here, activate the “Prevent shutdown lock” option.

And it's done. If you press the open Power, the call will no longer end on your iPhone.

By default, you can reject or hang up calls on your iPhone by pressing the Power button. However, now it will simply silence an incoming call or lock the screen during an ongoing call when “Prevent Hang Up Lock” is enabled.

How to Mute Incoming Calls on iPhone

Don't want to reject an incoming call, but want your iPhone to stop ringing or vibrating? You can silence an incoming call in three ways:

  • Press the Power button (it will work when the “Prevent power off lock” option is disabled).
  • Swipe up from the bottom to minimize and mute the incoming call screen.
  • Press any of the volume buttons while your iPhone is ringing to silence calls.

This will hide the full screen caller ID. You can still answer the muted call by tapping the smartphone icon that appears at the top of your information bar.
